Bouchard Aine & Fils

The history of Bouchard Aîné & Fils is a long voyage through time, closely linked to Burgundy and especially the town of Beaune. In 1731 the Bouchard family settled in Burgundy and a few years later purchased a house in Beaune where it established a wine and textile business.

In 1750 under the stewardship of their son Joseph they exited the fabric trade to specialise in wines from Burgundy’s Cote D’or. This was an era that signalled the start of Burgundy’s burgeoning wine trade which would see the region develop export sales into adjacent European countries.

Fast forward 100 years and Bouchard Aîné & Fils were exporting to over 30 countries and, in yet another 100 years on from that, to over 130 countries across five continents. In 1993 the Bouchard business was bought by the Boisset family who also have a rich history in the Burgundy region as well as developed vineyards in the southern Languedoc region.

Whilst able to halo a range of famous Burgundy village wines the House is also able to release wines of exceptional character and drinkability at affordable and accessible pricing.
